Bob Dowdell

Bob Dowdell serves as as Advisor in Rulester's Board. He is also on Genstar’s Strategic Advisory Board and advises the Firm in the areas of business, software, information and insurance services. Bob is the former Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Marshall & Swift / Boeckh (MS/B). MS/B is a leading supplier of local building cost information, residential and commercial property valuation technology and services for the property and casualty insurance sector in the US and Canada. During his tenure (1994 – 2005), he successfully transformed Marshall & Swift and Boeckh from paper-based publishing companies to “knowledge companies” that provide a wide variety of services to the property insurance, appraisal, and assessment industries. Bob is also a founder and the former Chairman and interim CEO of Career Education Corporation (NASDAQ: CECO). Career Education is a $2 billion postsecondary educational institute, with 80+ campuses in the US, Canada, Europe and Dubai, and the 2nd largest degree granting on-line institution (AIU Online). Prior to this, he was President of National Education Centers, which at the time was the largest chain of postsecondary educational institutions in the US. Bob also served as Corporate Controller and Treasurer at National Education Corp (NYSE) and Corporate Controller of Chamberlain Manufacturing Corp (AMEX) and worked at Price Waterhouse in Chicago as an Audit manager. Bob is Director and Chairman of the Board for TravelCLICK, Inc. and a Director of 21st Services. Bob earned an M.B.A. and a B.B.A. from the University of Notre Dame.

David Anderson

David Anderson is the co-founder and Managing Director of New Pacific Consulting, LLC, a market research and strategy advisory firm serving private equity firms and western companies doing business in Asia. Previously he served as a senior executive at GATX and Inland Steel Industries with responsibility for operating businesses and staff functions. He also was President and CEO of Mobitrac, Inc. and President of MetalMaker International, both early stage venture companies funded by private equity investors. Earlier in his career David was a senior attorney and business development executive at American Hospital Supply Corporation. As an investor David has participated in several early stage companies in the healthcare, energy and technology sectors. Mr. Anderson is a member of the American, Illinois, Minnesota and Chicago Bar Associations. Mr. Anderson served as a Captain in the U.S. Army. Mr. Anderson is an active member of several profit and nonprofit boards. Of particular note he is entering the 13th year as a member of the Board of Directors of Advocate Health Care Network and its predecessor company. He serves as Chair of the Advocate Planning Committee and is a member of the Advocate Executive Committee, Audit Committee, and Compensation and Benefits Committee. Mr. Anderson holds a JD and a BA from the University of Minnesota, and a Masters of Law in Taxation from DePaul University.

Michael Kasper

Mike Kasper is the CEO of Du Page Medical Group, one of the largest and most successful physician-owned, multi-specialty groups in the Midwest. Before Dupage Medical, Michael Kasper served as President of Humana's Illinois market. Michael Kasper oversaw Humana’s commercial health insurance business in Illinois, including the company’s strategic direction, growth and profitability. In May, 2008 he was responsible for the $90.5 million acquisition and integration of OSF HealthPlans, including 64,000 commercial members. Previously, Mr. Kasper served as Executive Vice President of HealthAmerica, a Pennsylvania-based subsidiary of Coventry Health Care, where he led operations for central and eastern Pennsylvania, including the company’s expansion into Philadelphia and southern New Jersey. He also led Coventry Health Care of Louisiana as President and Chief Executive Officer and served as President of the Louisiana Association of Health Plans. Earlier in his career, he managed network contracting and operations for a number of other national and regional health plans. Mr. Kasper earned a Master of Health Administration degree from Indiana University and a bachelor’s degree in psychology from Millikin University. He is active throughout Illinois, and served as corporate chair of the 2008 Chicago Heart Ball, and currently on the board of directors for the American Heart Association, Chicago chapter. Most recently, Mr. Kasper has become involved with the American Cancer Society’s CEOs Against Cancer initiative. He also serves as a board member at the Chicagoland Chamber of Commerce and Illinois Health Maintenance Organization Guaranty Association.
